AN ODE TO CAMPING

Oh, camping
My camping
You never seem to be cramping
My style

I love doing you at the lake
I enjoy getting drunk with you
and then I make
breakfast

I can fish
I can wish
on a star

We will drink
We will think
We won't blink
when they charge for extra cars

Oh camping
My camping
I can't wait to be...camping?

-Lauren

I'm going camping this weekend and I'm stoked. It's one of my favorite weekend activities and the weather is supposed to be awesome. I'm the official camp cook. I make a mean bacon and eggs.

This will be the first time with the new horseshoe set. And of course we're gonna fish on Saturday at the lake. But I was trying to think of some other fun games to play besides the usual "Party till you puke" game. (I had enough of that last weekend.) Here is what I've come up with:

Hide the Toilet Paper
Self explanatory. Hide the bio-degradable toilet paper from everyone but yourself. Hilarity ensues.

Fry the vegan's tofu bacon in the same pan as the regular meaty bacon
Again, self explanatory. I'm about as good at coming up with game names as I am at poetry.

Outdoor Darts
Forgo the usual dart board and darts. Instead use a tree and kitchen knives that have been brought along for cutting meat. Extra fun when it's dark!

Box and Stick
Use a box, a stick and carefully placed treat to trap small animals. Last time we went we had a skunk terrorize our site. This game did not help our problem.

A spitting contest
Self explanatory. Even better to do when you have a biiiig swig of some sort of booze in your mouth and you are near an open flame. First aid kit is optional for this game.

Leave your suggestions in the comments.

Putting some sort of chemical to attract deer in someone's tent is always fun!

First of all, how can you leave Dallas on the best weekend there is in Dallas. Beer on the street, no paper bags required.

Secondly, another fun game is: Bring the tent down---Finding out which position/activity will require the rebuilding of your tent the next morning.

Potratz, the Toadies aren't playing. Besides I won't be that far.

But thanks for the game suggestions.
